Minicar Champion Road Terms of Service

This is an English translation. If it differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.

Chapter 1. General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the rights and obligations of Aurel Studio ("the Studio") and its members, and the conditions and procedures for using the online racing RPG "Minicar Champion Road" and its official website (together, "the Service").

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "Member": a person who agrees to these Terms, creates an account and uses the Service
  2. "Account": the email address and password (including a linked Google account) that identify a member, and the account number the Studio assigns
  3. "Racer name": the one name a member sets per account. It is shown where other members can see it, such as the official website board. It is different from the names of the story's main characters.
  4. "Game data": in-game information a member obtains or creates while using the Service, such as save slots, story progress, machines and parts, in-game currencies (credits, gems, etc.), level and race records
  5. "Cloud save": the feature that stores game data on the server, tied to the account, so it can be continued on another device
  6. "Posts": board posts, comments and anything else a member uploads to the official website
  7. "Operation Policy": the document the Studio publishes on the official website with the detailed rules for applying these Terms, such as racer name and board rules and report/sanction standards
  8. "Beta": the period before the official launch in which the Service is offered free of charge for testing (the offline beta and the online beta)
  9. "Official website": the website the Studio runs for notices, the board, account management and probability disclosure (its address is announced in the game)

Article 3 (Operator)

Article 4 (Posting and Amending the Terms)

  1. The Studio posts these Terms on the sign-up screen and the official website.
  2. The Studio may amend these Terms within the limits of the applicable laws.
  3. When the Terms are amended, the Studio announces the effective date, the changes and the reasons in an in-game notice and on the official website from 7 days before the effective date until a reasonable time after it. For changes that are unfavorable to members or important, the Studio gives notice 30 days in advance and also notifies members individually by their registered email or an in-game message.
  4. If the Studio, when giving the notice in paragraph 3, also states that "members who do not object by the effective date will be deemed to agree" and a member does not object, the member is deemed to agree to the amended Terms. The Studio may also ask members to agree again when they log in.
  5. A member who does not agree to the amended Terms may withdraw (delete the account).

Article 5 (Matters Not Covered and the Operation Policy)

  1. Matters not covered by these Terms follow the relevant laws of the Republic of Korea, such as the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Game Industry Promotion Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and the Content Industry Promotion Act, as well as general commercial practice.
  2. The Studio sets the Operation Policy within the scope of these Terms and publishes it on the official website. Changes to the Operation Policy that are unfavorable to members follow the procedure in Article 4.

Chapter 2. The Service Agreement

Article 6 (Sign-up)

  1. To sign up, a person sets an email address and password on the in-game sign-up screen or the official website and checks all of: agreement to the Terms of Service, consent to the collection and use of personal information, and confirmation of being 14 or older. On Android devices a person may also sign up with a Google account, with the same agreements. The service agreement is formed when the Studio accepts the application.
  2. Children under 14 cannot sign up. If the law of the member's country requires a higher age or parental consent, those requirements must also be met.
  3. On the first login, the member sets a racer name. Racer name rules are set in the Operation Policy.

Article 7 (Accepting and Limiting Applications)

  1. The Studio may refuse the following applications, and may terminate the agreement if it learns of them after sign-up:
    1. Using someone else's email or false information
    2. An application by a child under 14
    3. A reapplication by a permanently banned member (unless the Studio has allowed it)
    4. Applications for an improper purpose, such as creating accounts in bulk by automated means
  2. If server capacity is insufficient or there are technical problems, the Studio may delay acceptance until they are solved.

Article 8 (Managing the Account and Password)

  1. Only the member may use the account and password, and the member is responsible for managing them. Passwords are stored on the server only as salted hashes, so the Studio cannot know them either.
  2. Members may not share, lend, sell or transfer their account.
  3. To protect accounts, the Studio offers two-step verification (a code by email or text message) and the option to turn off auto-login. Please turn off auto-login on shared devices.
  4. If a member suspects that their account has been stolen or is used by someone else, they must notify the Studio immediately and follow its guidance. The Studio is not responsible for damage caused by failing to do so, unless the Studio acted intentionally or negligently.

Article 9 (Protection of Personal Information)

The Studio protects members' personal information under the Personal Information Protection Act and other relevant laws. Details are in the "Minicar Champion Road Privacy Policy".

Article 10 (Changes to Member Information)

If sign-up information changes or is wrong, the member must correct it through the in-game feature or by email. The Studio is not responsible for disadvantages caused by not correcting it.

Chapter 3. Obligations of the Studio and Members

Article 11 (Obligations of the Studio)

  1. The Studio complies with the relevant laws and these Terms and strives to provide the Service stably.
  2. The Studio keeps members' personal information safe and publishes and follows its privacy policy.
  3. If the Studio finds a member's opinion or complaint justified, it handles it and informs the member of the result or schedule by email or in-game message.
  4. If the Service fails, the Studio strives to fix it without delay.

Article 12 (Members' Obligations and Prohibited Conduct)

  1. Members must follow the relevant laws, these Terms, the Operation Policy and the notices in the game and on the official website.
  2. Members must not:
    1. Share or sell accounts: share, lend, buy or sell an account, or use someone else's account or personal information
    2. Trade for real money: exchange an account or game data (machines, parts, in-game currencies, etc.) for money or other goods or services, advertise or broker such trades, or play someone else's progress for payment
    3. Use illegal programs or tamper: use, make or distribute programs or automated input tools (macros) not provided or allowed by the Studio, alter the game app, save data or network traffic, or attack the servers
    4. Exploit bugs: knowingly use game errors or spread how to do so (please report errors to the Studio)
    5. Abuse or hate: insults, degrading or hateful/discriminatory expressions, sexual remarks, threats or harassment in racer names or posts
    6. Spam or advertise: repeatedly post the same or meaningless content, or post unauthorized advertising or promotion
    7. Impersonate: impersonate, or cause others to mistake you for, the Studio, its staff, other members or famous people
    8. Expose personal information: post or spread other people's personal information (real name, phone number, address, school, account details, etc.), or deceive people to obtain passwords or personal information
    9. Infringe the intellectual property, reputation or other rights of the Studio or others
    10. Post or spread information prohibited by law, such as obscene material or information encouraging crime
    11. Otherwise disrupt the operation of the Service or harm other members' normal use
  3. The detailed standards for prohibited conduct and sanctions are set in the Operation Policy.

Chapter 4. Using the Service

Article 13 (Providing the Service and Maintenance)

  1. Unless there are special circumstances, the Studio provides the Service 24 hours a day, all year. As an online service, logging in and cloud saves require an internet connection.
  2. The Studio may carry out regular maintenance for server management and updates, and announces the schedule in advance in an in-game notice and on the official website.
  3. When urgent fixes are needed, such as for failures or security problems, the Studio may carry out emergency maintenance without prior notice and will announce it afterwards.

Article 14 (Changing, Suspending or Ending the Service)

  1. When needed for operational or technical reasons, the Studio may change game content such as tracks, parts, stats, race calculations and probabilities. Important changes are announced in advance in an in-game notice and on the official website.
  2. If there are unavoidable reasons such as equipment failure, network outages or natural disasters, the Studio may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service.
  3. To end the Service, the Studio announces it in an in-game notice and on the official website at least 30 days before the end date. If paid services existed, the Studio keeps a contact channel for refunds and other inquiries open for at least 30 days after the end.

Article 15 (Beta)

  1. The Service is free during the beta.
  2. The beta is a period for testing and polishing the game before the official launch. Game values such as stats, experience, part drop amounts and probabilities may change more often than in the official service, and there may be more maintenance or errors.
  3. If progress from the offline beta (played without the internet) remains on a device, it can be moved to the first account that logs in on that device and continued there (the game shows a one-time notice). The offline beta participation record is kept in the account for the participation reward.
  4. Game data built up during the beta (including progress moved from the offline beta) will be reset at the official launch. The reset date and the commemorative reward for participants will be announced before the official launch.
  5. If you lose progress or parts because of an error, please tell us by email. The Studio will try to restore what can be confirmed from the cloud save history.

Article 16 (Cloud Save)

  1. A logged-in member's game data is saved both on the device and on the server, and the member can continue on another device by logging in to the same account.
  2. If a member plays separately on two devices, the server keeps the newer progress uploaded later, and the older device's progress does not overwrite the newer progress on the server. In that case the progress that was on the older device is kept aside on that device.
  3. If a different account logs in on a device, the previous account's progress is kept aside on the device and the new account's progress is loaded.

Article 17 (Information and Notices)

The Studio may provide information needed to use the Service through in-game notices and messages, the official website and the registered email. It does not send advertising without the member's consent.

Article 18 (Disclosure of Probability-based Items)

  1. When the Studio provides items or features whose results are decided by probability, such as part packs, race reward packs, part enhancement and rerolls, it shows the kinds of results, the probability of each and the conditions of any guarantee given when a set condition is reached (10-pull guarantee, pity, etc.) on the relevant game screen (for example, "View odds").
  2. As required by Article 33(2) of the Game Industry Promotion Act (in force since March 22, 2024), the Studio also shows the probability information on the official website's Probability information page and in advertising.
  3. When probabilities change, the Studio announces it in an in-game notice and on the official website before the change.
  4. Probability-based items are currently used only with credits, gems and points earned in the game; there is no paid purchase.

Article 19 (Managing Posts and Rights)

  1. The copyright in a post belongs to the member who wrote it.
  2. Members allow the Studio, to the extent needed to run and promote the Service, to display their official website posts within the Service and to copy and edit them to fit the format. If a member deletes a post, the Studio stops using it.
  3. If the Studio judges that a post falls under the prohibited conduct of Article 12 or the Operation Policy, it may hide or delete it or block it from being posted without prior notice. Some profanity may be masked automatically.
  4. A person whose rights, such as privacy or reputation, are infringed by a post may ask the Studio to delete it. Under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, the Studio may delete the post, or, if it is hard to judge whether rights are infringed, temporarily hide it for up to 30 days.

Article 20 (Ownership of Rights and Game Data)

  1. The copyright and intellectual property in the Service and the content the Studio made, such as in-game art, music, text and programs, belong to the Studio (or the rightful owners).
  2. Members may use game data within the Service under these Terms and the Operation Policy. Game data cannot be converted into money or other property.
  3. Members must not copy, distribute or broadcast the Studio's content obtained from the Service for profit, or let others do so, without the Studio's permission. Uses the Studio separately allows by notice follow that notice.

Article 21 (Paid Services)

  1. The Service currently has no paid products or payment features.
  2. If paid services are introduced, the Studio will add provisions on payment, withdrawal of subscription, refunds and cancellation of payments by minors to these Terms, and announce them in advance under Article 4.

Chapter 5. Termination and Restrictions

Article 22 (Withdrawal)

  1. Members may withdraw (delete their account) at any time in the following ways. To confirm identity, the password (or the Google account, if signed up with Google) is checked again.
    1. In the game: Main menu → Account → Delete account
    2. Official website: log in → My info → Delete account
    3. If you cannot log in: send a deletion request to the Studio's email from the registered email address
  2. On withdrawal, the account and game data are deleted from the live database immediately and cannot be restored. That account's progress left on the device used for withdrawal is also deleted. The racer name is released so other members can use it.
  3. Information kept for a set period under the law or the privacy policy, such as backups, report/sanction records and security logs, is deleted when that period ends. Details are in the official website's "Account Deletion" page and the privacy policy.
  4. Deleting the app from a device does not withdraw the account.

Article 23 (Termination by the Studio)

The Studio may terminate the service agreement (permanent ban) if a member:

  1. Is found to fall under any item of Article 7(1)
  2. Engages in prohibited conduct under Article 12 that the Operation Policy sets as subject to a permanent ban
  3. Seriously violates these Terms, or repeats the same violation after being restricted

Article 24 (Restrictions on Use)

  1. If a member violates Article 12, the Studio may restrict use in the following steps, considering the severity, number of times and intent:
    1. Warning
    2. Board restriction: cannot post or comment on the board for a set period
    3. Temporary suspension: cannot log in for a set period
    4. Permanent ban: termination of the service agreement
  2. Serious violations, such as using illegal programs, real-money trading, account theft or intentionally leaking other people's personal information, may lead directly to a temporary suspension or permanent ban without the earlier steps.
  3. The Studio may take back or delete parts, in-game currencies and other items gained through violations.
  4. The periods and standards for each step are set in the Operation Policy.

Article 25 (Interim Measures)

If an investigation is needed because account theft, use of illegal programs or bug exploitation is suspected, the Studio may temporarily restrict the account until the investigation ends. If no violation is found, the restriction is lifted immediately and the Studio strives to correct any disadvantage in the meantime.

Article 26 (Notice of Restrictions and Appeals)

  1. When restricting use, the Studio notifies the member in advance of the reason, type, period and how to appeal, by in-game message or email. When urgent blocking is needed, it may notify after the restriction.
  2. A member who disagrees with a restriction may appeal by email (thirtyshots2689@outlook.com) with reasons within 14 days of receiving the notice.
  3. The Studio answers within 15 days of receiving the appeal. If it cannot answer within that time, it explains why and when it will answer.
  4. If the appeal is justified, the Studio lifts the restriction immediately and corrects the record.

Chapter 6. Damages and Dispute Resolution

Article 27 (Damages)

  1. If the Studio causes damage to a member intentionally or negligently, it compensates under the relevant laws. However, for services provided free of charge, such as the beta, the Studio is liable only for intent or gross negligence, or where the relevant laws specifically provide.
  2. If a member causes damage to the Studio or others by violating these Terms, the member must compensate for it.

Article 28 (Disclaimers)

The Studio is not liable in the following cases, unless it acted intentionally or negligently:

  1. When it cannot provide the Service for reasons it cannot prevent, such as natural disasters, war, power outages or failures at telecom or cloud providers
  2. Damage caused by the member's circumstances, such as careless password management or device/network problems
  3. Disputes between members, or between members and third parties, arising through the Service
  4. The accuracy or reliability of posts uploaded by members

Article 29 (Notices to Members)

  1. Notices to an individual member are sent to the registered email or by in-game message.
  2. Notices to all members may be posted in an in-game notice or on the official website for at least 7 days instead of individual notices. Matters that seriously affect members are also notified in the way described in paragraph 1.

Article 30 (Dispute Resolution)

  1. The Studio receives and handles members' opinions and complaints by email.
  2. If a dispute arises between the Studio and a member, the member may apply for mediation to the Content Dispute Resolution Committee under the Content Industry Promotion Act, among others.

Article 31 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. The laws of the Republic of Korea apply to legal relations between the Studio and members concerning these Terms and the use of the Service. However, mandatory consumer-protection rules of the member's country of residence may apply where they are more favorable to the member.
  2. Lawsuits between the Studio and a member are filed with the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.

Addendum

  1. These Terms take effect on October 5, 2026 (version 1.0).
  2. These Terms are written in Korean. If a translation differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.
